Lancashire Police Arrests Reported On 26th November 2019 Lancashire Constabulary were contacted by members of the plant hire community concerned that a fraudulent hire was being attempted. Officers from Lancashire Police Tactical Operations and Fleetwood Neighbourhood policing teams were able to work together to intercept those responsible. Three males from the Lancashire area were arrested. They are currently under investigation while further investigation work continues. These include asset inspections, asset valuations, fleet and company audits, stocking floor plan audits and locating, recovering, inspecting, storing and remarketing assets. Fully certified inspectors use market- leading technology to offer these services to equipment manufacturers, hire companies, importers, dealers and finance companies. Inspections are usually carried out with 48 hours of receiving a request and all photos display a date and time stamp, the GPS location plus confirmation of the physical address. Director Louis Moody said: “We currently have 14 inspectors covering the UK and Ireland and our aim is to increase this to 22 over the coming months. This will mean that we will have inspectors placed within a 90 minute radius of any location.” Inspector Nasset hosted a conference and workshop in Reading in November, primarily to familiarise finance companies with the service, and to explain in more detail how it works through presentations and live demonstrations.
