CPA Bulletin

FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE www.cpa.uk.net CPA Bulletin > February 2020 5 Happy NEW year! Happy new year to all Members and readers of the CPA Bulletin. As the new government takes shape we may find ourselves dealing with some new faces and new policies, but our priority will remain as always to continue to support the Members, both directly and indirectly by working with clients, customers, government and other bodies. One specific action to support Members directly is the revision of the CPA Model Conditions of Contract, which will get underway with working groups and expert panels reviewing the conditions and how they work in practice. If you have experience in this that you want to share, please contact David Smith. Members can expect to see some deliverables from our Skills Strategy, and we will continue to work with the rest of the industry to clarify, confirm and improve standards of training and accreditation. We will also continue to lead and co-ordinate the development and implementation of apprenticeships and pathways for attraction and recruitment into the industry. CITB Consensus will form a major part of our activity in 2020. Please watch out for more information from us and fromCITB, including some local CPA Member engagement events. We will be exhibiting at trade shows throughout the year, beginning with the Executive Hire Show in February. For the first time, we will have a stand at Scotplant in April, and the CPA team looks forward to meeting Members in Scotland. Please call in to see us at these events – we are always ready to share news on what we’re doing, and to hear first hand from you about your views, and the issues we can support you with. Come and see the CPA teamat the Executive Hire Show on stand H20
