58 CPA Bulletin > February 2025 www.cpa.uk.net British Concrete Pumping Group (BCPG) The last British Concrete Pumping Group meeting took place as an online working group on Wednesday 20th November 2024, to conduct a review of the Good Practice Guide – Safe Use of Concrete Pumps. Construction Hoist Interest Group (CHIG) The Construction Hoist Interest Group Steering Committee and Open Meetings will take place on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd October 2025 respectively at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre, Meriden Road, Fillongley, CV7 8DX. Crane Interest Group (CIG) The last Crane Interest Group meeting took place as an Open Meeting on Thursday 28th November 2024 at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre, Meriden Road, Fillongley CV7 8DX, with the meeting agenda covering a range of topics including: • TINs & Publications - Review Programme and Priorities • HSE Update • CIG 2308 - Guidance on Tendering, Management and Operation of Mobile Cranes Update • CPA Update • Abnormal Loads/Embargo/Police Enforcement Challenges/ ALG Update • CIG Focus for 2025 Suction and Vacuum Excavator Special Interest Group (SAVE) The Suction and Vacuum Excavator Steering Committee are currently in the process of conducting a review of the Good Practice Guide – Safe Use of Suction/Vacuum Excavators and are also proposing to hold an Open Meeting event in 2025. Shoring Technology Interest Group (STIG) The next Shoring Technology Interest Group Technical and Steering Committee Meeting will be communicated once agreed and confirmed by the group, with the meeting format and venue confirmed at a later date prior to the meeting. Tower Crane Interest Group (TCIG) The Tower Crane Interest Group have proposed the following meeting dates for 2025: 18th February 2025 - Steering Committee Meeting 25th June 2025 - Steering Committee Meeting 10th/11th September 2025 - Open Meeting in conjunction with the Vertikal Days Show Special interest groups SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
