This started with opening remarks from Colin Wood, RPA Director and CPA Chief Executive, who was restrained in his mentioning of cranes on this occasion! The RPA’s work Next, the Chairman presented some highlights of the work undertaken by the Management Committee over the last 12 months including the success of RPA0005 - Good Practice Guide for On-Track Plant Operations Scheme (POS) Representative Competence. This has been very popular throughout the industry, so popular, in fact, that 57% of all downloads of this document were from non-RPA members. This is another fine example of how the RPA can support its industry partners. The Chairman also commented on the influence and engagement the RPA has at various forums in which it participates within the industry, promoting the good Mark Farnsworth RPA Chairman On 28th February, the 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Rail Plant Association (RPA) took place at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. Despite the heavy snow and traffic disruption caused by the now infamous ‘Beast from the East’, it was fabulous to see somany members braving the treacherous roads and biting winds in a fashion that illustrates the hardy nature of the plant community. As the usual business of the AGM was conducted, the Management Committee was elected to serve the membership for the next 12 months.
