www.cpa.uk.net CPA Bulletin > May 2019 19 VERTIKAL DAYS: 1 After a very successful 2018 event, Vertikal Days returns to Castle Donington this year and promises a number of exciting product launches for the UK. The two day event will take place on 15th and 16th May 2019 at Donington Park in the East Midlands - one of the famous grounds of British motorsport. Throughout the year the venue hosts a great amount of national and international events, as well as a wide variety of exhibitions, shows and other music concerts. Hosting the largest Vertikal Days yet will be another key date in its calendar. A number of new products will be making their way over from Bauma in Munich, so Vertikal Days will be the first time a lot of new products will be shown in the UK. Be prepared for several product launches from crane, access and telehandler manufacturers as well as component and ancillary service companies. Associations The CPA is exhibiting on stand number 128 and the CPA team will be on hand to discuss the release of the very latest safety and technical publications, such as new crane safety guidance for use of cranes beside railways. IPAF is also exhibiting and the association’s safety campaign will address the increase in accidents while operating an aerial work platform alongside or on roadways. Cranes If you’re looking for cranes, Liebherr says it will have a few surprises up its sleeve, alongside the UK’s first 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1 and the debut of its 100 tonne LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane with a Stage V diesel. Spierings will show the first production version of the three axle SK487-AT3 City Boy hybrid mobile self-erecting tower crane. Alfa Access Services has recently been appointed as the UK distributor for Italian mini crane manufacturer BG Lift/Brennero Gru and will show the lightweight 580kg capacity M060, 2.5 tonne M250 spider crane and 14.5 tonne CWE 525 tracked loader crane. Jekko spider cranes will be found on the JT Cranes stand and will include the UK launch of the lithium powered SPX532. First time exhibitor Foster Cranes - now the Hoeflon distributor - will show a range of Hoeflon cranes including the UK launch of the eight tonne lithium powered C30 compact spider crane. Powered Access Manitou will highlight the prototype of an all- new electric powered boom lift, as well as the nine metre 90 V’Air mast boom designed specifically for two operators carrying out aircraft maintenance. Skyjack will launch its all new Rough Terrain diesel scissor lift range, with platform heights of up to 63ft and capacities up to 1,245kg. It will also show its revamped 40ft SJ4740 narrow aisle slab electric scissor lift alongside a number of boom lifts. Italian tracked platform manufacturer Almac will show its new 33ft Jibbi 1250 Evo telescopic boom lift, while Klubb’s UK affiliate CPL promises to launch three new innovative products as well as a range of zero emission aerial lifts. Dingli will launch the new 65ft JCPT2223RTA Rough Terrain diesel scissor lift, alongside slab electric scissors ranging from the 12ft JCPT0607DCS to the recently upgraded 45ft JCPT1612DCB. Genie will highlight its all- new 13ft GS-1330m electric micro scissor lift, alongside its latest generation of ‘green’ aerial work platforms, potentially some new battery powered boom lifts, and its Xtra Capacity (XC) telescopic boom lift range. LGMG will bring its 46ft A14J articulated boom lift as well as its slab electric scissor lifts including the 12ft SS0407E and the 15ft SS0507E. Promax Access will use the show to launch a new 20 metre Platform Basket spider lift, while French manufacturer ATN - now owned by Fassi - will show its new 12.65 metre Piaf 13RE mast boom. Finally, APS will bring the new 32.5 metre Hinowa 33.17 featuring lithium ion battery pack. Goes Up a Gear
