PLANT THEFT PLANT THEFT: 1 Durham A customer with his own grey cabbed JCB 3CX was working on his own small development in Ferryhill, County Durham. Three men in a black Mitsubishi L200 drove onto the site on the evening of Saturday 16th February 2019, started the machine and drove off. It was last seen travelling to the Sedgfield area in County Durham. There are a few things that stand out on the machine: • Only piped on 3 hydra clamps on backhoe • Extending dipper drops out quickly • Short length of chain welded to wear pad bolt Essex A Hanix H36CR excavator was stolen from a site at Thornwood Essex. A Mitsubishi Pajero was seen on CCTV scouting the site. Hampshire On the 20th/21st December 2018, two peckers for 1.5 diggers and two peckers for 3 tonne diggers were stolen. On 13th/14th January 2019, a 2018 3 tonne Thwaites swivel skip dumper with Serial No SLCM580Z1801955 was stolen from a site in Prospect Lane, Havant. On the 23rd January 2019, two Thwaites 1 tonne dumpers were stolen from Scotland Lane, Haslemere. One was a 2015 machine (Serial No SLCM201Z1517D) and the other was a 2017 machine (Serial No SLCM20171717D). Hertfordshire A Merlo P32.6 telehandler was stolen from a site in Watford. The theft was during the night of Wednesday/Thursday 10th January 2019. The machine was manufactured in 2011, with Registration No YKJ12ACX and Serial No C1466484. A 1 tonne 2018 Mecalac TA1 Hi-Lift dumper (Serial No 4920) has been stolen from a site in St Albans, Hertfordshire. A Thwaites 1 tonne skip loader was stolen from a site in Radlett, Hertfordshire on 12th February. The Serial No ends in D2345. Shropshire Two Atlas Copco XAS 67, hard hat, road-towable, Yanmar powered compressors have been stolen recently. The first was from a site at Uffington near Shrewsbury and the second from a yard in Telford, Shropshire. The Serial Numbers are AIP700618 and AIP701375. Surrey A 2018 model Thwaites 6-tonne swivel dumper was stolen from Godstone, Surrey on 30th January 2019. It was road specification, complete with green seat belt beacon. Registration No EU67 GHX and Serial No E1823. Sussex A 3.5 tonne Wacker Neuson excavator (also a VDS machine) was stolen from a site in Hadlow Down, East Sussex on 30th January 2019. The Model No is 3503, Asset No K501 and Serial No WNCE0307EPAL01039. Yorkshire An orange and grey Doosan DX63-3 was stolen fromKirby Fleetham, Northallerton. The machine is orange and grey. The Serial No is CEAAY-001480 and the machine was manufactured in 2015. The following lorry, loaded with the listed rail plant, was stolen from Castleview in Horbury (WF4 5BU). Multiplex Global Criminals are sending an email requesting goods often with a fake Purchase Order attached. The email comes from a number of email addresses, but the common factor is the use of the suffix @multiplexglobal.co.uk which is not genuine. The emails have, so far, been sent in the names AdamGingell, GrahamMcIlkenny (both actual Multiplex employees) and ‘Accounts Payable’. The name ‘Danial Smith’ (not a Multiplex employee) also appears on some of the emails. If you do have any doubts as to the authenticity of an order, please either contact the person placing the order (use only a known telephone number, not one stated in the e-mail), or anyone in the Accounts Payable teamwho will be able to confirmwhether or not the purchase order is genuine. Combined Industries Theft Solutions (CITS) CITS has arranged the next Cybercrime Workshop, which will be on the 24th May 2019 at Coutts Bank in London. The workshop challenges participants in considering and tackling the threats posed against a ‘company’ they own. The event is free to attend and is aimed at the key-decision makers within a company. A second workshop on Modern Slavery and Exploitation is expected to be held in June, also at Coutts Bank, in conjunction with the Gangmaster and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA).
