The company even helped with the install of a temporary clock before the new Dent clock was installed. More recently TCA Lifting has supplied a Palazzani XTJ52 for a major concourse re- lamping project in the ‘Barlow Shed’ station. The XTJ52 is Europe’s highest spider with 52mworking height, 19.5m radius and capable of lifting 4-persons with 400kg SWL. At less than half the weight of an equivalent traditional self-propelled MEWP, the Palazzani XTJ52 offers the low ground loadings essential for working inside the station. One of the most useful features for gaining access to the lighting is the articulating three section telescopic jib, which allows the operator to position the basket with precision. By removing the basket and replacing with a winch, the XTJ52 can be quickly transformed from Europe’s highest reaching ‘spider platform’ to its highest lifting ‘spider crane’ able to lift 500kg to a height of 49m and to an impressive 16.5m radius. 52mSpider Used at St Pancras NewMarubeni-Komatsu High Reach Excavator Marubeni-Komatsu has launched a new EU Stage V emissions compliant high reach demolition excavator. The PC490HRD-11 model brings ‘best in class’ working height to the 60-tonne machine sector and can be configured in six different working arrangements. It carries a 2.0 tonne demolition tool up to a height of 32 metres, a 3.34 tonne tool up to 28m and it can work with a 5-tonne demolition tool up to 17.4 metres. Manufactured in the Komatsu Europe plant near Newcastle, operating weight of the PC490HRD-11 ranges from 55,200kg to 73,400kg. Its Komatsu EU Stage V compliant engine puts out 270 kW / 362 HP at 1.900 rpm, with minimal environmental impact. The working range indication system on the PC490HRD-11 allows the operator to use the machine to its maximum effect without compromising safety, through a full 360˚. It can also display the view from the optional arm end camera system.
