The AIR-VAC allows users to dig without the risk of damaging existing buried services, utilities or tree roots. Work can be carried out in restricted access areas without the need for traffic management. With its one metre width, the AIR-VAC has a low impact foot print and tipping skip. This innovative machine allows fast, safe digging in congested applications. Customer feedback has reported that the use of Vac-Ex equipment has reduced service strikes by 85%. Revival of Three of London’s Most Iconic Theatres Three theatres in London’s theatre district - Wyndham’s, the Gielgud and the Prince of Wales - have all been restored to their former glories by Thomann-Hanry®using the company’s patented façade gommage technique. All three theatres are owned and run by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres. Impressed by the impressive results achieved by Thomann-Hanry at other landmarks such as The Bank of England, The Ritz - and more than 30 listed buildings in St James’s borough alone - Delfont Mackintosh appointed Thomann-Hanry to stage similar revivals at their theatrical landmarks. Each façade clean was completed with no scaffolding, minimal disruption and within a week in each case. Carried out from a boom-mounted cabin, this unique process projects fine particles under compressed air across the building’s surface, gently erasing decades of accumulated grime. Underscoring the system’s environmental credentials, powder and dirt cleaning residues are then efficiently filtered, collected and recycled. Webster Technologies Selected to be an Export Champion In recognition of the company’s exporting success supplying in-house designed specialist cutting attachments and design consultancy services across the world, Webster Technologies has beenmade an Export Champion as part of an initiative run by the Department of International Trade (DIT). Belinda Naylor, Business Development Manager for Webster Technologies said: “We’re really proud to have been asked to become an Export Champion and share our personal experience of exporting with others. We understand what it’s like to see the exciting opportunity exporting offers but also understand the challenges to realising it. “With support from the Department of International Trade we have been able to successfully grow our international presence. Alongside tapping into the knowledge of Trade Advisors about specific sectors and countries, we have been supported to visit international trade shows enabling us to make connections, develop market intelligence, and exhibit our products on a global stage. The DIT has helped us overcome some of the barriers associated with exporting. “In the current landscape we think it’s nowmore important than ever to inspire and encourage businesses that can export but have not started or are just beginning and to help by signposting them to the support that is available through the DIT. We were delighted to get the attention of Dr Liam Fox Secretary of State for International Trade at the recent Export Champions launch day,” she continued. Alongside running UK operations supplying products for major infrastructure projects such as Hinkley Point and Crossrail, Webster Technologies has been developing a new hydraulic hammer supported partly through funding from Innovate UK, the Government’s Research and Innovation agency.
