10 CPA Bulletin > May 2020 www.cpa.uk.net The one-day CPA Conference was originally booked to take place on Thursday 15th October 2020 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Fillongley near Coventry. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current uncertainty surrounding whether mass gatherings can take place, it has been decided to postpone the CPA Conference to Spring 2021. The theme of the CPA Spring Conference 2021 will be around progress, recovery and rebuilding for the future. CPA Chief Executive Kevin Minton said: “We thought long and hard about whether we should postpone the CPA Conference and we decided it was in the best interests of everyone if we moved the event to Spring 2021. “As the theme of the 2021 event will be about preparing businesses for the future, it will be highly relevant in light of the Coronavirus outbreak. We hope that CPA Members and others in the construction sector will come away from the event with a great deal of knowledge about how they can better equip their businesses to deal with uncertainties and build for the future.” The 2021 CPA Spring Conference will be the sixth CPA Conference to be held. Over the years, it has become established as an essential entry in the calendar for senior figures in the plant-hire sector. The CPA Conference brings together a number of speakers talking about key issues affecting the plant- hire industry. The 2019 event adopted a new format with a series of panel speakers and the 2021 CPA Conference will follow this model. As well as attending the Conference, delegates will also have the opportunity to visit a number of exhibition stands. For previous CPA Conferences, exhibition space has proved so popular that it has been a sell- out.
