The Executive Hire Show will now be held between 9th and 10th February 2022 at its established home at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. In arriving at this decision, the EHS team surveyed show exhibitors and key visitors. A total of 60% of exhibitors said they wanted to postpone the Executive Hire Show to 2022. Chris Moore, Executive Hire Show Publishing and Events Director said: “We investigated all possibilities to stage the show in 2021, but the unpredictable nature of COVID-19 and ongoing uncertainties have made our decision unavoidable. We are 100% committed to supporting our exhibitors, visitors, and other personnel associated with hosting the event - their health, safety, and wellbeing must be our number one priority. “Many of our customers told us that they have new products launching later this year, and we have exciting new plans to help them connect with our audience of active and engaged hirers. In the meantime, we have freshened up our media and marketing portfolio and widened the opportunities available to our partners reflecting emerging technologies, innovative products, and the type of equipment that hirers are buying now. Secondly, later this year, we will hold a series of hire industry webinar events, using digital channels to help companies launch their new products,” Chris continued. ExecutiveHire ShowPostpones to February 2022 Sunbelt Rentals Gets a Chain Reaction Sunbelt Rentals UK has invested in a fleet of X-CHAIN LED lighting towers from Trime UK Limited. Six of the X-CHAIN LED sets were immediately put to use on a trackside project in Totton, Southampton. As this 24/7 project was situated in close proximity to residential housing, the contractor needed silent, emission free lighting. The X-CHAIN LED runs totally silent, however they will continue deliver bright, targeted lighting from four energy saving LED lamps. The contractor simply connected the first X-CHAIN LED to ordinary mains electricity through an 110V transformer and linked the remaining five lights using a heavy duty cable. The chain of lighting illuminated the complete track area enabling safe working as the natural light diminished. The Trime X-CHAIN LED is a stand-alone tower floodlight fully equipped with stabilisers, retractable handles, fork-lift pockets and a telescopic, stainless steel mast. Illumination is provided via four low consumption long life LED lamps, delivering over 2000 square metres of safe, clear lighting. A series of Trime X-CHAIN LED sets can be connected together using the simple ‘socket-in/socket-out’ system and then attached to a single power source - either ordinary mains or a portable generator. The Trime X-CHAIN LED has no individual fuel costs or carbon emissions and will operate silently. The company believes that the X-CHAIN LED is the first lighting tower on the market that has a built-in, patented emergency mast brake system that helps to enhance the safety of operators on site. This new investment is in line with Sunbelt Rentals’ policy of selecting the very latest sustainable equipment for the company’s rental fleet.
