Katie Kelleher - Technical and Development Officer I’m very pleased to welcome Katie Kelleher in to the CPA team, in the new role of Technical and Development Officer. Katie will provide CPA Members with guidance and advice on technical, training and safety subjects, as well as help produce and maintain the CPA’s large range of safety and technical publications. She will also help represent the CPA on a number of industry-led initiatives and working groups, and liaise directly with Members, official bodies and other organisations. You can read more about Katie on page 7. Stu McInroy - Chief Executive Transition I will also soon be welcoming Stu McInroy into the team. Stu will be taking over the role of Chief Executive during June, and we will work together for a short time to ensure a smooth transition, with no gaps in service to Members. You can read more about Stu and his background on page 16. Stu will be at Stars of the Future and at Plantworx, so please don’t hesitate to come and say hello. Stars of the Future 2023 The CPA Stars of the Future 2023 apprentice awards ceremony will take place near Coventry on 6th July 2023. This year, we have had over one-third more nominations than last year, and the event continues to grow thanks to great support fromMembers, employers, colleges, judges and sponsors. The window for nominations has now closed, but you can visit our website for more information on the event itself. CPA Conference - Facing the Challenges The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Facing the Challenges in the Plant-hire Sector’ and the event will take place on Thursday 9th November 2023 near Coventry. Vertikal Days and Plantworx Our next trade show will be Vertikal Days on 10th - 11th May in Peterborough, closely followed by Plantworx on 13th - 15th June, again in Peterborough. Trade shows are a good opportunity to talk with members of the CPA team, and we welcome the chance to hear first hand about any issues you are facing, and to help resolve any questions you may have.
