ASSOCIATIONNEWS: 1 www.cpa.uk.net CPA Bulletin > August 2019 7 ASSOCIATION NEWS It’s been a busy fewmonths on the exhibition front, with the CPA exhibiting at Vertikal Days, Plantworx and Rail Live in quick succession. On the first morning of Vertikal Days, an introduction event was hosted at Donington Park Media Centre to discuss the new CPA voluntary roadworthiness scheme for mobile cranes on bespoke chassis. A full report can be read on page 11. Despite the monsoon weather conditions experienced at Plantworx, we were very pleased to welcome many of our Members to the CPA stand. The show afforded the opportunity to distribute hard copies of the brand new Good Practice Guide on the Safe Use of Dumpers. This comprehensive 96-page document has been produced by the Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group and chaired by the CPA. The guidance has been produced to help tackle site dumper incidents involving overturns and individuals being struck by dumpers. Electronic copies can also be downloaded from the CPA website at www.cpa.uk.net/sfpsgpublications. The following week after Plantworx, we exhibited at Rail Live hosted at Quinton Rail Technology Centre in Warwickshire. The RPA/CPA team had the opportunity to meet up with several existing RPA Members operating in the rail sector, as well as many potential new Members. Exhibitions Galore
