You can read more about Steven’s appointment on page 7. Just as this issue of the CPA Bulletin was sent to press, the CPA Stars of the Future Apprentice and Trainee Awards were hosted near Coventry. This was the 12th year of the awards which have become one of the CPA’s flagship events and one that we’re very proud of, in recognising the future stars of our industry. This year’s awards saw 80 very impressive nominations and almost 300 people attended the event, including the nominees themselves, their families and partners, training providers, employers and our wonderful sponsors and judges. May we take this opportunity to congratulate all the nominees and winners and wish you every success in your future careers. Testimony to the success of the awards is that many previous Stars of the Future award winners have gone on to secure senior positions in the construction plant industry. We look forward to catching up with CPA members at Vertikal Days at Newark Showground in September and before we know it, the CPA Conference will also be here. This year’s Conference is being hosted on 7th November 2024 and the theme is ‘Shaping the Future: Insights for the Plant-hire Sector’.
