On 3rd August, CBL had a Takeuchi TB250 mini-excavator stolen in Paignton, Devon. On 7th and 8th August, DCV Engineering had two Kubota UB10-3 mini-excavators stolen from their depot. On 9th August, a Yanmar B18 mini-excavator was stolen in Manningtree, Essex. In early September, Ovenden Plant lost a Bobcat T650 where the customer used fake identification and company information to obtain the machine. On 27th September, Sunbelt had a JCB Model 525/60 6M Tier 4 Telehandler stolen from a Vinci Construction project at Doncaster hospital. On 4th October, Garstang Plant Hire had a Bobcat E10Z Micro-excavator stolen from Gisburn, Lancashire. On 15th October, Rowlands Plant Services had a Ammann 80 Roller stolen from Southampton. All notifications of theft and fraud are being forwarded to the ACE Opal and NaVCIS teams. CITS Conference The CITS Conference - ‘2022: Will you be a Victim?’ - is being held at JCB’s World Headquarters in Rocester on 18th November. A pre-recorded key address will be given by Mr Kit Malthouse, Minister for Policing and Crime. Deputy Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman - NPCC lead on Organised Crime - will address the delegates; and there will also be presentations on ‘Security for HS2’, ‘2022-Demise of Red Diesel’, and ‘Brexit and Covid on International Crime’.
