44 CPA Bulletin > November 2021 www.cpa.uk.net MCS Rental Software MCS Event rental businesses are now able to take advantage of the new integration of Stripe with rental software specialist, MCS. The new feature in the rental management package, MCS-rm, enables hirers to take credit card payments from account and cash customers on a pre-defined credit card, improving cash flow and making it easier than ever to collect payments from customers. The cloud-based recurring payment system from Stripe means that a rental business can obtain payments for hires within its MCS-rm rental software. Nick Thomson, MCS Sales Director, explains: “This new integration with Stripe payments has meant that our customers can now take advantage of quick and efficient billing of their clients. Previously rental businesses would need to send an invoice and then manually process the card payment over the phone. By using the Stripe integration, this no longer needs to be done manually and instead is processed automatically.” As credit card details are stored securely on the Stripe platform and not in MCS-rm rental software, the integration ensures that rental companies abide by PCI Compliance regulations and keep their clients’ data safe. All a rental business needs to do is click ‘process payments’ and the rest is taken care of. Nick added: “This integration is a game-changer for the rental industry, ensuring that our customers can accept various credit card payment methods to settle invoices, protect themselves from fraud, and receive their payments faster, all secured within the Stripe platform.” MCS Hosts Annual UK Customer Day In September rental software specialist, MCS, welcomed its users to the long- awaited Customer Day at Brooklands Museum inWeybridge. Clients from across the UK travelled for the event in which they heard about new software developments, network with other MCS users, and met the faces behind the software. The annual event, which took place remotely last year, is an invaluable day for users to take a break from the office and review how they are using their software package. During the day, users discovered ways to make their processes more efficient, saving time and money. Guy van der Knaap, MCS Managing Director, explains: “Seeing our clients face- to-face this year felt particularly significant after what feels like such a long time without being able to see our customers in person. Networking plays a key role at these events; we heard many fantastic conversations amongst users, sharing knowledge throughout the day. “The MCS Customer day brings together like-minded users who can share their favourite tips and tricks and give us the chance to showcase new features in the MCS Rental Software solution. We hope that our customers left the event with the confidence to know how they can further use MCS-rm to make a huge difference in their businesses.” The MCS Customer Day has been held at many iconic venues over the years, including RAF London, JCB HQ, Jaguar Land Rover Experience, and the National Space Centre. Guy concludes, “This annual event is also a huge ‘thank you’ to our customers for their support, ideas, and collaboration. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to provide excellent rental software that will empower rental growth and futureproof hire businesses for years to come, and many of those brilliant ideas stem from our users and their feedback.” MCS Rental Software will be hosting its next annual Customer Day in September 2022.
