The Lifting Technician of the Year category was sponsored by Liebherr, and winner Steve Lumb of Wolffkran won a fully paid trip to visit the Liebherr factory in Ehingen. Accompanying Steve was the 2020 Lifting Technician winner, Luke Reddish, also from Wolffkran and now able to make a deferred trip following the pandemic. The Best Personal Statement award was sponsored by Wolffkran, who paid for Tom Baxendell of Bachy Soletanche to visit BAUMA - the world’s leading construction exhibition. Nearly 150 people attended, and we had more sponsors and exhibitors than ever before. Plans are now underway for 2023, and we expect to announce the date and theme soon. Plant & Hire Aid Alliance - Ukraine Children’s Christmas Appeal Plant hire companies, including Plantforce and Ardent, are coming together to bring some Christmas spirit to children, who are innocent victims in the horrendous war in the Ukraine. The Plant & Hire Aid Alliance is hoping to collect enough toys and gifts to fill an artic loader which is set to depart from Ipswich on the 12th December.
